11-01-2017. UAB “Elsis TS” signed an agreement with AB “Amber Grid” regarding the purchase of services to install the software and the model to ensure the security and integrity of gas pipelines.

The goal of the project is to increase the security and reliability of the natural gas transmission system by installing advanced software of the information system for risk assessment as well as operation and maintenance optimisation of main pipelines (Pipeline Integrity Management (PIMS)), which will allow using the natural gas transmission system in a safer and more efficient manner.

During the implementation of the agreement, the software of the information system for risk assessment as well as operation and maintenance optimisation of main pipelines (PIM IS), licences, and software installation services will be provided. In addition, methodologies, procedures, and rules of the information system for risk assessment as well as operation and maintenance optimisation of main pipelines for the smooth operation of PIM IS will be created. Methodological manuals regarding the creation of risk assessment algorithms, the specification of risk management measures, the assessment of threat impact and likelihood reduction measures, and the creation of bowtie diagrams will be drafted.

The value of the agreement exceeds EUR 900,000 without VAT; it is planned that all works will be completed by 31 December 2018.

The project is implemented by using the investments of EU funds (2014 – 2020).
