31-01-2019. Elsis TS signed a contract with Yokogawa Europe Solutions B.V. (the Netherlands) for the provision of services for the implementation of the SCADA IS (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition and Telemetry) information system for the gas transmission system of AB Amber Grid. The subcontracting services will be provided jointly with UAB Elsis PRO.

The telemetry system currently used during the execution of the contract will be split into two separate systems: a remote process control and management system (SCADA IS) and a gas metering data acquisition information system (DAPDS IS).

The SCADA part will be replaced by a newer, more modern, technologically advanced system with significant scope for further development and modernisation. It is based on the FAST/TOOLS® software product, designed, developed and widely used worldwide by Yokogawa Electric Corporation, for the efficient management of production and technological processes.

Successful implementation of the project will allow for increased reliability of gas transmission and flexibility in system management to achieve the objectives set out in the National Energy Independence Strategy.

The project will contribute to the further modernisation and development of the main gas pipelines operated by Amber Grid AB, in order to ensure management efficiency and safety.

The project works are scheduled to be completed by 30 November 2019.

The project is financed by EU funds investments (2014-2020).
